Scope

The following were within the scope of the survey:

• To create a rough estimate of the potential minimum number of animals that are killed on British roads every year
• To evidence those road kill animals observed (in line with the assumptions made)

The following were not within the scope of the survey:

• To categorise the observed animal kills between different animal types
• To categorise the environment in which the observed animal kills were observed
